We advised Monstermob Group Plc on achieving a restructuring of its UK subsidiary businesses with a view to preserving the value of valuable long-term contracts, two businesses and the overall goodwill of the Plc. (Zafar Rafiq)

We advised the owner management of £50m turnover group Auxilia Group Limited on the difficulties that it faced, and secured the Group sales of two significant parts of its businesses. (Zafar Rafiq) 

We acted for PricewaterhouseCoopers on The Parkside Group of Companies, work which has included a summons for directions in relation to the effect of a debt assignment and legal uncertainties created by amendments to the Insolvency Set-Off Rules.  A ground-breaking Court ruling is expected. We acted for KPMG as administrators of the Card World Group of Companies in Bristol and Cardiff with two warehouses and 28 retail stores. (William Ballmann) 

We advised the management team of a home entertainment business to acquire from the administrators the business property and assets for £22m.  This acquisition involved lengthy negotiations with the administrators at PricewaterhouseCoopers and also the funders who enabled our clients to fund the acquisition. (Zafar Rafiq)

We acted for the purchaser in formulating their  multimillion pound offer to acquire the business and assets and property of a supplier group turning over in excess of £150m to major supermarkets.  The acquisition entailed detailed negotiations with the administrators at Deloitte, an assessment of the business rapidly and a swift completion of the transaction which involved a number of teams within Cobbetts. We acted for BDO Stoy Hayward as administrators of Freshway Foods Limited who manufacture and distribute sandwiches and hot food to Shell and other service stations throughout the UK. (Zafar Rafiq)

We acted for the administrator of UB40's operating company and ultimately, following protracted negotiations, disposed of the back catalogue to certain members of the band for an undisclosed multimillion pound sum.
