James is a partner in the Construction team. He is recognised as a leading Construction lawyer and handles large scale dispute work both nationally and internationally.
James has handled a series of reported adjudication decisions including F.W. Cook v. Shimizu, Comsite v. Andritz and Shimizu v. Automajor, all successfully, and the recently reported Technology and Construction Court and Court of Appeal decisions in Emcor Drake & Scull Limited v. Sir Robert McAlpine concerning the Dudley Hospitals PFi project.
James is a regular panel writer for Building Magazine and has also written for Construction News, Contract Journal and Architect's Journal amongst others. He has a master degree in Construction law and arbitration and has worked for clients in Russia, Holland, Sweden, France, Ireland and in Asia.
